No, you are more than welcome to participate with or without any additional donations. Additional donations go directly toward providing safe water for more people, and will also make you eligible for additional incentives described on the donate page.
Wherever you are! This is a “virtual race” where participants get their race kit in the mail. Any time the week of September 5-11, 2020 you can join thousands around the US from your own neighborhood to participate in the way you choose. Participation challenges are listed on the registration page.
This is a great opportunity to invite your village (your family, friends, coworkers, or business team) to help you make a difference. You will unite for the same cause: clean water! You can tag them on social media, give them a call or send them an email with the link on your page to invite them to walk/run with you or donate toward clean water. We’ve listed some ideas on the tools page. Celebrate the impact you made by posting a picture with the hashtag #walk4water
You can register all the way up to and even on the week of the event, but early registration will assure that you receive your t-shirt before the event.
Keeping your distance and time is up to you! We won’t be collecting times but you can share photos from your day on social media using the hashtag #walk4water and of course join our Walk 4 Water Facebook community.
Yes. We use industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card number and personal information travel securely over the Internet. There is an encryption engine on our database server so that your data is securely stored. Credit card information is not stored in our database. During the donation process, we send donor credit card information to an online processing terminal using a secure connection. The information passed back is an approval or denial of the credit card donation.
Checks should be made to Family Humanatarian and can be mailed to: Family Humanitarian, P.O. Box 1521, Rowlett, TX 75030. They will count towards your fundraising goal and for the drawing if you email firstname.lastname@example.org to make us aware they are on their way. Mailing cash is not recommended.
